Tag Day is a long standing fund raising event for cadet organizations across the country and serves as the single largest fund raising event for the year.

A weekend is assigned for Tagging and a wide variety of commercial locations are booked for the tagging. We normally book one tag weekend in the fall (Oct) and one in the spring (May).

Cadets sign up for a morning, afternoon, or evening shift and meet at the meeting point (normally A.Y, Jackson) at a preset time. From there, cadets are grouped together in teams of three or more, provided with their collection container basket and tags, and are transported to their assigned location for their shift. For each team, we strive to have a senior cadet present to help and supervise. Part way through their shift, their driver drops off a small snack. At the end of their shift, their driver picks them up and brings them back to the meeting point.

Those cadets who have uniforms are expected to wear them for this activity. Those without uniforms are asked to dress accordingly so as to reflect well on the organization.

We are always on the lookout for drivers for this event to drive cadets to their assigned location, drop of snacks, and then pick them up at the end of their assigned shift. We also have a small team of counters to sort, count, and roll all of the coins in preparation for the bank deposit.
