This guide is an attempt to give parents an idea of what the Air Cadet program is about and what goes on after you drop your child off at a cadet event.

Program Goal

The intent of the Air Cadet program is to foster a strong sense of community, leadership, teamwork, confidence, respect, self discipline, and responsibility in our youth while at the same time giving them broad exposure to many aspects of aviation.

The skills and traits that the program fosters will help them out in any walk of life and help prepare them to be the leaders of tomorrow. However, for those with a specific interest in pursuing involvement in any aspect of aviation, involvement with the Canadian Armed Forces, or any other aspect of public service, this training program will definitely provide a very good foot in the door.
