Tag-Day

Final night for Tag Day permission forms tonight Apr 11th.

There will be a Tag Day driver volunteer information meeting on Wed April 11th at 6:30 in the school atrium area.

Parents and Cadets,

We are aware of the difficulties to volunteer your time for tag day this October since it is on Thanksgiving weekend; however, we only have half of the youth participating for this mandatory event.

Tag Days help offset costs for activities such as Bush Weekends, Power Flying Days, Gliding Days, year-end party, training, competitions and clinics for the cadets. In addition to assisting with the cost of running these events, each individual cadet’s Tag Day volunteer hours weigh heavily toward acceptance for summer camps, museum sleepovers and special activities.

Friday evening is full but we need youth Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon. We are also in need of drivers for Saturday. If possible it would be appreciated if some cadets already volunteering for Friday evening could change to Saturday afternoon. For those of you who volunteer for 2 shifts you will be appropriately rewarded!

If we do not get more participants or cadets volunteering to change shifts, we will unfortunately need to change your shift without your input.

It is imperative you send your availability ASAP. Please scan and send your Tag Day form to Rita Paul rita.paul@bell.ca or Lorna Budge surgicalsweet@rogers.com or send an e-mail with your name, rank, flight, age, allergies and the time you will volunteer.

We need your participation to make this a worry free, event packed year. If you are unable to attend you must speak with Major Dixon.

Thanks to the fine turn out of our cadets this past weekend, we had record Tag Day proceeds of $6323.

This was an outstanding showing by the cadets, the volunteer parents who helped with the transportation of the cadets, as well as the great organization by Mrs Paul and Mrs Budge.

Our thanks also go out to all of the locations that hosted our cadets.
