Committee Meetings
Time and Place: Room 208, AY Jackson High School starting at 6:45pm, lasting about 1 hour.
Purpose: To elect the 2012-13 Squadron Sponsoring Committee members and to confirm new and returning volunteers. All parents are invited to participate in the election, to observe and to step forward as a new volunteer on the commitee.
Please note that some executive members and directors will be moving on after this year. Therefore, cadets need parents of all cadets but particularly junior cadets to come out and join the fun and dedicated group that will partner with Major Dixon and her staff to make 2012-13 another excellent training year.
No experience necessary – you may start out as a helper/volunteer and take on whatever level of effort and responsibility matches your interest and ability. If you cannot attend the election night, you are always welcome to join as a volunteer at any time during the training year, or to help out at events.

Our First Parent Sponsoring Committee Meeting of the 2011-12 training year will be held on Wed Sept. 21st @ 6:40pm in room #208 at AY Jackson during the regular Wed Parade Night.
All Parents Are Welcome and Encouraged to Attend!
Reminder. This Wed, Apr 27, we will be holding the elections for the Parent Sponsoring Committee for the following year.
All parents are invited to attend and are eligible to nominate or vote for people to form the new Sponsoring Committee.
The meeting will be chaired by the League Representative and all of the committee positions will be described. Following that nominations will be accepted, and finally the votes will be cast.
Once the committee members have been identified, they will decide among themselves as to who holds which position. Any new members will be required to fill out some paperwork and undergo screening and a police check.
The existing committee will tend to their duties for the remainder of the training year.

Our children derive tremendous benefits from being members of the 872 Squadron. Many of the great activities we have planned for our Cadets depend upon the success of this event. We are therefore asking once again for your help.
This year, the Spaghetti Dinner will take place on Saturday, November 27, 2010, at the Richmond Arena We would ask that you consider helping our Squadron by making a donation of money, a product or a service for our auction or by simply volunteering your time. As we are a registered charity, we can provide a tax receipt for your donation.

Your child`s Walkathon Pledge sheets and money collected are due to be handed in tonight!
All monies collected, plus a copy of the completed Pledge Sheet must be turned in to the Sponsoring Committee on or before Wed Oct 13, 2010. Cadets must bring the Pledge Sheet with them on the day of the Walkathon, but no monies are to be brought the day of the Walkathon.
