Annual Inspection

Time and Place: Room 208, AY Jackson High School starting at 6:45pm, lasting about 1 hour.

Purpose: To elect the 2012-13 Squadron Sponsoring Committee members and to confirm new and returning volunteers.  All parents are invited to participate in the election, to observe and to step forward as a new volunteer on the commitee.

Please note that some executive members and directors will be moving on after this year. Therefore, cadets need parents of all cadets but particularly junior cadets to come out and join the fun and dedicated group that will partner with Major Dixon and her staff to make 2012-13 another excellent training year.

No experience necessary – you may start out as a helper/volunteer and take on whatever level of effort and responsibility matches your interest and ability. If you cannot attend the election night, you are always  welcome to join as a volunteer at any time during the training year, or to help out at events.

Thank you for your consideration.  Hope to see you there,

Dave Mowat

PARENTS

Parents and guests are invited to attend 872 Annual Ceremonial Review, Saturday May 26. Details may be found in the following Invitation. Please RSVP to Maj Dixon and let her know how many seats you will require.

This is a culminating activity where the cadets get to show parents and friends what they have learned during the year, and also to allow us to honour outstanding cadets through awards.

We encourage you to come out and see this event!

INVITATION

The Review will be followed by a Reception and Static Displays by the cadets.

CADETS

To support the reception following Annual Inspection Parade this Saturday May 28th the Parent Sponsoring Committee requests each cadet’s family provide a bowl of snacks, platter of sandwiches or washed & cut vegetables/fruit.

Non-perishable items may be brought to the Richmond Arena early Saturday morning when cadets are dropped off. Food requiring refrigeration should be brought to the Arena kitchen by 1:15 PM Saturday.
