The directors handle the legal responsibilities of the committee and are often involved with the administration and planning of individual events.

The committee also has a responsibility to work collaboratively with the squadron staff for selections for camps, promotions, awards, and smaller events to ensure that the process is fair and applied consistently. This activity often consists of Sponsoring Committee members being present and participating in selection committees and interviews, and judging of public speaking events. The sponsoring committee also has a strong voice in the selection of new staff

The committee decides the level of funding that will be required for the year and what level of activities that it will be able to fund and the operating budget for each activity.

The committee also has a responsibility to recruit and help out new committee members to ensure that the organization can continue to operate as older committee members move on. As a result, we actively maintain documentation how to organize for any particular activity so that is it much easier for a new person to take the reigns. Likewise, there are always other committee members who have had at least some involvement with the organization of an event and are able to offer a helping hand.
