As with any formal organization, people holding the board and director positions are elected by the parents who chose to participate in the process.

Elections are held every spring (in May) so that the new board can be formed and the next year’s training plan and budget can be finalized before year end (the end of June) before the squadron shuts down for the summer holidays.

There is a fair amount of churn within the committee as older cadets age out and their parents move on as well. We are always looking for parents to participate in whatever manner they can, whether it be a commitment to one of the formal positions or willingness to help out for specific events. No training is required to become involved, however, everyone holding a formal position require a police screen due to their potential involvement with youth.
